Florida Snap EBT

Welcome to SNAP EBT information page for the state of Florida.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programme (SNAP), originally known as the Food Stamp Programme, is the nation’s most important anti-hunger program. SNAP provides nutritional assistance to low-income seniors, people with disabilities living on fixed incomes, and other low-income individuals and families.

The Florida Department of Children and Families’ Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency (ESS) administers SNAP, a federal program. ESS is in charge of determining SNAP eligibility based on government requirements.

SNAP eligibility requirements and benefit levels are, for the most part, defined at the federal level and are the same across the country.  Individuals must meet all eligibility requirements in order to receive food assistance benefits.
